7/24/01

Austin, TX-based Carpe eDatum has signed a long-term agreement to exclusively distribute Croatian PACS firm Vamstec's clinical image management system (CIMS) software and related Web applications in the U.S.

Zagreb-based Vamstec currently has installations in 28 hospitals and clinics, connecting 18 cities in Europe, according to the company. Carpe eDatum and Vamstec said that they will also work together to jointly develop an application involving the delivery of results through wireless devices such as PDAs, a PET fusion application, and electronic orthopedic implant templating through the Internet, according to the vendors.
