Austin, TX-based Carpe eDatum has signed a
long-term agreement to exclusively distribute
Croatian PACS firm Vamstec's
clinical image management system (CIMS) software
and related Web applications in the U.S.
Zagreb-based Vamstec currently has
installations in 28 hospitals and clinics,
connecting 18 cities in Europe, according to the
company. Carpe eDatum and Vamstec said that they
will also work together to jointly develop an
application involving the delivery of results
through wireless devices such as PDAs, a PET
fusion application, and electronic orthopedic
implant templating through the Internet, according
to the vendors.
